John Terry has taken to social media to play down
the seriousness of the hamstring injury he picked
up during Chelsea’s 5-1 win over Newcastle
United on Saturday.
The veteran centre-half was substituted before half-time
at Stamford Bridge after picking up the muscular injury,
which leaves him as a doubt heading into Tuesday’s
Champions League showdown with Paris Saint-Germain.
However, the former England captain used his personal
Instagram account to reveal that he is due to have a scan
on his leg on Sunday and is hopeful that the injury is not
too serious.
Terry posted the picture above on the photo-sharing app
on Sunday morning and wrote: “Great win and
performance yesterday. Well done @_pedro17_
@diego.costa @willianborges88
@bertrandtraore10
“Having a scan today and hoping my hamstring isn’t too
bad @chelseafc”
