TECNO Camon C9 Unboxing – A Sturdy Camera Phone

The stage is set and the venue of the event is packed full by now, Oh yes!! The TECNO Camon C9 launch event is holding at the time this piece was published. Apparently the wait is over, potential customers and fans of the brand will finally get to know what’s in the offering.
In a previous article about the Camon C9, I wrote about the eye scanner feature which will be used to unlock and encrypt the phone alongside its ability to work with a wearable device. Well, I was just so right about it and trust me, the eye scanner which TECNO calls “eye print” works pretty nicely.
Anyway, let me leave that for now and face the business at hand. At first sight, the pack of the Camon C9 takes you straight into the Marvel movie series. It is designed like the chest piece on the Iron Man suit.

Here comes the device: placed inside a blue pack. The phone looks good, feels very sturdy in the hand and I particularly like the sand stone back cover which comes with this particular phone, others may probably come in plastic back cover. There is no temper glass cover/protector on this one so you have to be careful to prevent drops else…..

Front camera is 13MP, the big size of the camera compartment stares right at you at top of the device. Not only is the compartment size different, it is also positioned right at the centre, just as we have it on the Asus Zenfone selfie. This will give the user a balanced angle when trying to take selfies.

The back camera is also 13MP with a big dual flash panel, the front camera is also blessed with a flash for people who love to take selfies at night.
Opening further into the box, you will see the USB cable, earpiece and the charger all placed in separate compartments.

Back cover is removable, there you can slot in two SIM cards and a MicroSD to expand the memory up to 128GB. Honestly I don’t know what TECNO was thinking about the design, the back panel actually looks like an electric circuit board…

TECNO has also added a complementary phone case. You should take note of the pin for removing the SIM tray which is just behind the pack of the phone case.
