While the likes of Victor Valdes are sure of leaving, the
likes of Marcus Rashford will have to wait to know what
the future holds for them given “The special
one’s” poor track record of working with youngsters.
Some Manchester United players know their time is up
at the club.
However, Henry believes Rashford is too good to be
snubbed: “He’s going to have to make sure he can carry on
with those guys. Marcus Rashford with what he did this
year, you can’t just ignore that. [Timothy] Fosu-Mensah,
I’m not going to name all the youngsters, I think he’s going
to go with that.”
Marcus Rashford
“And I think he’s going to go with players that are going to
fit the way he plays,” he said.
Speaking about Mourinho’s style, Henry noted: “I know
people say his teams are boring and they don’t score goals
but when he went to Real Madrid a lot of the time he
actually outscored Barcelona. And when he was at Chelsea
they were scoring a lot of goals.”
Statistics show that Marcus Rashford’s impressive
introduction has shown up all of his team mates.
Rashford ended Villa’s 28-year-stay in the EPL.
Since his barnstorming display in the 5-1 win over FC
Midtjylland, the youngster has scored 8 goals in 11
appearances, no teammate has more than 3 goals in
that time.
